The first day of school for pupils is Tuesday the 5th of September. The last day of school for pupils this half term is Thursday 26th October 2017.
The Rotherham Music Service came into school today to perform a medley of Christmas themed songs.
The pupils really enjoyed the performance of some songs they were familiar with and some that they had not heard before.
Thank you to the Music Service for coming into to school and spreading Christmas cheer.
The Mayor of Rotherham joined 5.4 students in a PSHE lesson this week.
Students interviewed Madam Mayor about issues in Rotherham around tolerance and respect.
The KS5 group designed 6 posters to raise the profile and reputation of Rotherham.
Madam Mayor was really impressed and was keen to promote the positive things that are happening in the town.
Students asked some excellent questions and thoroughly enjoyed the visitors company.

New Head Teacher - By Millie
Mr Silvester worked at North Ridge School, Doncaster before Newman School. He enjoyed school as a child but he went to an all boys school and would have liked it to be a mixed school. His favourite subject at school was History. When asked his first impression of Newman School he said “fantastic”. He wants more trips, more things for the website and to make reception look better. Mr Silvester didn’t think he would be a head teacher when he was a child. He has only wanted to be a head teacher for the last few years.
