Robert M has planted some amazing radishes that have sprung up over the half term.
Well done Robert, let's see if they taste as good as they look!
The first day of school for pupils is Tuesday the 5th of September. The last day of school for pupils this half term is Thursday 26th October 2017.

In today's assembly our children and young people had a vote to see which attributes they thought members of our student council need.
There were 8 photos with captions to choose from and the pupils voted live for which 4 they thought were best. The vote was done live so that our young people can see that their choices really make a difference.
All the images were voted for by our young people!
Students at Newman Main School celebrated World Book Day in style!
Students came dressed as their favourite characters including Elsa from Frozen, Where's Wally, Little Red Riding Hood and Maia Mitchell.
We ended the day with an interactive story read to the whole school by John Greaves from the Schools Loans Service.
Don't forget to spend your £1 book tokens on any of the ten special World Book Day books OR use it to claim £1 off any other book.
NAR pupils took part in activities such as word searches, quizzes, book cover designs and a story writing competition.
Today the Y14s have been sky lining and cycling, two of the most challenging, exhilarating and tiring activities so far!
The last day has flown by!
'Don't be afraid, take a deep breath and have some courage.' Lewis's words of encouragement really sum up the team spirit that has developed amongst the young people at Meadow Lodge. This afternoon we even managed to fit in some orienteering and football. What a day! We are so proud of all our team. Every single person has pushed themselves out of their comfort zone and taken some risks. Just as importantly, they have all demonstrated respect and tolerance, friendship and support. Well done Team Newman!
The second day at Meadow Lodge has been amazing!
In the morning we worked together as a team to build a den in the woods. After a hearty lunch we were straight back out into the (very!) fresh air for abseiling and problem solving tasks. Everyone was so enthusiastic, energetic and brave! After our evening meal we will be building a fire and toasting marshmallows. We should all sleep well tonight!
New Head Teacher - By Millie
Mr Silvester worked at North Ridge School, Doncaster before Newman School. He enjoyed school as a child but he went to an all boys school and would have liked it to be a mixed school. His favourite subject at school was History. When asked his first impression of Newman School he said “fantastic”. He wants more trips, more things for the website and to make reception look better. Mr Silvester didn’t think he would be a head teacher when he was a child. He has only wanted to be a head teacher for the last few years.
